Here you can see some of my more studied paintings as well as my more abstract mixed media work. Sometimes I have the desire to draw more realistic images, spending time on an ongoing coloured pencil project like the Kingfisher or Bearded Dragon seen here. Sometimes I just want to make some splashes on a canvas and to see what arises. This leaves  space for the viewer to interpret  meaning hidden in the world of random mark making. For this I tend to use oils, acrylics, inks and pastels to fuse colours and evoke atmosphere.
